Where are we?
Out towards the south westerly tip of England.
Nestled between moorland, brook and cove.
Land of the smuggler.

There are regular trains from London Paddington down The Great Western Line.
You need to head towards Lostwithiel.
Bodmin Parkway is a second option but Lostwithiel is better if possible.
From either of these you can take a taxi to ours. But you will need to call one. This isn’t really Uber territory…
See “Local Taxi” in the other menu option for some recommendations.
-
Take the A30 to the Bodmin and Lostwithiel exit. From here it is a 30 minute journey.
Exit the A30 and head to Lostwithiel.
Assuming you will be using Sat Nav of some kind, head to the Lostwithiel Coop.
(Lostwithiel is the ancient capital of the Duchy of Cornwall. Now a small, non touristy village.)
If you want any food or supplies, this is your last shop before you reach us. We are another 12 minutes from here.
Assuming you have driven down Lostwithiel High Street, go past the Coop (with it on your right) and follow the road round briefly until you stop at a T-Junction at the edge of a bridge.
Cross the bridge then cross the railway tracks shortly after.
Take the first main right (Lanwithan Rd) on the corner of The Earl of Chatham pub.
Follow this road for 3 miles until you Lerryn.
At Lerryn, you will cross a narrow bridge, then follow the road round to the right. There is a pretty car park to your right if you want to pause and see the river. If not, follow the road straight up the hill from where The Ship Inn pub is.
At the very top of the hill, the road flattens out into a Five Way Crossroads.
Take the 2nd left road down the hill.
We are the third farm down this lane. Lots of people take the second turning for some reason. Keep going until you reach the third one.
The driveway has the farm name of "East Trencreek" at the top of our drive.

Take the A38 to the Dobwalls Junction.
From here it is a 20 minute journey.
At the Dobwalls Junction take the A390 to Lostwithiel.
Drive for a little over half a mile and you will reach East Taphouse. As you exit the village, there is a left hand turn singposted to Looe and Polperro on the B3359. Take that.
In 200ft take a right then a fairly immediate left.
In 1.6 miles you hit a T-Junction. Turn left then almost immediately right.
In nearly a mile it will bend round to the right. In another 1.5 mile keep going straight, don’t turn off. In another 0.5 miles you reach a crossroads.
At this point, you have two options.
Option 1 is a little quicker but narrower. Option 2 is still narrow but less squeezed. Unless you’re driving a Lamborghini your car will fit in both: it’s just a warning in case you don’t like narrow lanes, particularly meeting people on them.
Option 1 - Narrower But Slightly Quicker
Turn Left at this cross roads.
Follow this road down the hill past Tregenna Farm.
At the bottom of the hill, there is a right hand turning that goes back up a hill. Take that. This is the narrow bit.
Our farm is the first turning on the left. It is marked “East Trencreek” but you won’t see the sign until you turn in.
Option 2 - Still Narrow (ish, for Cornwall)
Go straight on.
Follow this road until it opens out into a Five Way Crossroads. Go left. You might see a granite post in the hedge saying “St Veep 2000”.
Go down the hill.
We are the third farm down the hill. Lots of people turn into the second one for some sure. But keep going until the third. You will see the farm name “East Trencreek” at the top of our drive.

Newquay Airport: The closes airport that flies to a range of European destinations but it not a major international airport.
Exeter (1h 30min drive) and Bristol Airport (2hr 30min drive) are the next two closest.
Beyond that we recommend London Airports (5hr drive/train) and then travel from there.
